Hello there,

I have to say, the highlight of St. Louis for me were the animatronic historical figures who live (and educate!) under the St. Louis Arch.  We had an awesome show this past Friday night, also in St. Lou, at The Wood.  The gents of Little Grey Girlfriend opened for themselves basically, as the Cameron Mizell Trio.  Funktastic!  They played through the entire Tributary album which was super fitting, as the album’s material was built on Cameron’s musical influences and life experience growing up in that fine city.  We were followed by Picture Day, who rocked it, and then were gypped out of an order of fries at Steak N’ Shake.  A highlight of that show was the dance routine that happened during our new song “Lovesick for the World,” including a dancer who was three days from her due date.  Dance that baby right out!

We spent Saturday in Chicago, which is a lovely place to be in the summer.  Once again we had an awesome set, this time at The Ultra Lounge in the oh-too-hip Logan Square neighborhood.  It was great to see the many familiar faces of Blooomington music school transplants.  We were followed by a band originally from Sweden, Eight Bit Tiger,  who know how to get the girls dancing.  My calve muscles still hurt… I’m not making that up.  They are offering a free download on their Bandcamp Page.  I seriously suggest you check it out.

Thanks to everyone for coming out in St. Louis and Chicago!  We’re currently back in Brooklyn for a couple of days and then will be playing at The Velvet Lounge in DC this Thursday night at 10p.

See some of you there!
